I really like the idea behind Topper Town. The idea being to rent space across from St. Edward's University in order to turn it into a place for St. Edward’s entrepreneurial students to get a start in launching their business. Students would get their chance at getting their business going for a certain amount of time, like two years, and then another student would get his/her chance to get their business started.
ReplyDeleteI also think that Topper Town could benefit from teaming up with Pablo C's idea of an ATX Consulting by SEU students for startups or a twist of this idea. I’m pretty sure someone else had brought up this idea (teaming up with other students), I just can’t remember who and I apologize in advance. Topper Town could be open to all St. Edward’s students and if the student doesn’t know a lot about running a business, then he/she could team up with an entrepreneurial student to achieve their goals.
Since we’re going to El Gallo tomorrow, we could take a look around their location and see if that would be an ideal location to set up Topper Town or if not, we could look around nearby businesses.

In light of our visit to El Gallo, Wednesday, I think establishing a partnership with Mrs. Kennedy should be an option for our Strategies class to consider. I also believe we contributed so many ideas for potential strategies for El Gallo that if Mrs. Kennedy accepted our proposal we already know where to start. Not only do we have ideas for strategies to consider for El Gallo, the location is important as well, right across the street. If we could establish a feasible and sustainable strategy, for Mrs. Kennedy and her staff, the relationship we create could potentially be the roots to a long standing relationship between the University and the Kennedy's. What does everyone else think?
